Who we are
Semco³ ("Semco³", "we", "us") is the data controller responsible for the personal data processed through this website. We are based at Reykjavikstraat 2, 3543 KB Utrecht, The Netherlands.
We have not appointed a Data Protection Officer, as we are not required to. For any question about this policy or about how we handle your data, contact us at privacy@semco3.com.
What data we collect
Information you give us. When you fill in a form on this site (for example to request the first MRI, to apply as an unConsultant, or to reach us) we collect the details you provide, such as your name, email address, company, role, country, company size, revenue range, LinkedIn profile and the message or challenge you describe.
Information you enter in the assistant. If you use the "Ask about Semco³" assistant, the questions you type are processed to generate an answer (see "Who we share data with" below). Please do not enter sensitive or confidential information there.
Information we collect automatically. When you visit the site we may collect technical data such as your IP address, browser and device type, and the pages you view, through cookies and similar technologies (see "Cookies" below).
Why we use your data, and our legal basis
To respond to your enquiry and take steps at your request before entering into an agreement (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) and to pursue our legitimate interest in answering the people who contact us (Art. 6(1)(f)).
To send you updates or the newsletter, where you have asked us to, on the basis of your consent (Art. 6(1)(a)). You can withdraw consent at any time.
To operate, secure and improve the website, on the basis of our legitimate interest in a reliable and safe service (Art. 6(1)(f)).
To comply with legal obligations that apply to us (Art. 6(1)(c)).
Cookies
We use cookies and similar technologies that are strictly necessary for the site to work. These do not need your consent.
We also use analytics cookies (Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity) to understand how the site is used. Clarity records how visitors move through pages — clicks, scrolling and navigation — to produce heatmaps and session replays; anything you type is masked. These are placed only after you accept them in the cookie banner shown on your first visit. Until you accept, they are not set. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time from that banner or through your browser settings. We also use Vercel’s privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics, which do not identify you.
If you arrive through a personalised link in one of our emails, that link carries a code that lets us recognise your visit, so we know which of our invitees came by and what interested them. This association is made only if you accept analytics cookies.
Who we share data with
We share personal data only with service providers who process it on our behalf and under our instructions, under a data processing agreement. These include: Vercel Inc. (website hosting and cookieless analytics); OpenAI (the "Ask about Semco³" assistant); Google (Google Analytics, only where you have consented); Microsoft (Microsoft Clarity, only where you have consented); and our own database hosted on Semco³/Kodda infrastructure, where form submissions are stored.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.
International transfers
Some of these providers (for example Vercel, OpenAI, Google and Microsoft) may process data outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States. Where that happens, we rely on appropriate safeguards recognised under the GDPR, such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses, so that your data keeps an equivalent level of protection. You can ask us for a copy of these safeguards at privacy@semco3.com.
How long we keep it
We keep personal data only for as long as needed for the purpose it was collected, to maintain our business relationship, or to meet a legal obligation, after which it is deleted or anonymised.
Providing your data, and automated decisions
Providing your data through the forms is voluntary, but we need the details marked as required in order to respond to you; without them we may not be able to.
We do not use your data for automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects, and we do not build profiles about you.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access your data, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to its processing, to data portability, and to withdraw any consent you gave. To exercise these rights, write to privacy@semco3.com.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. In the Netherlands this is the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens (autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl).
Security
We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against loss, misuse and unauthorised access. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, but we work to protect your data and to review our measures.
Children
This website is intended for professional and business use and is not directed at children under the age of 16.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last revised, and the current version always lives on this page.
